Our Services

Pells Consulting provides specialist design, analysis and review services in the following areas of engineering:

• Tunnels and underground caverns;
• High capacity foundations for bridges and multi-storey buildings;
• Embankment dams;
• Groundwater and depressurisation;
• Slope destabilization and retaining structures;
• Rehabilitation and tailings deposits.

The services are based on the experience and expertise of Dr Philip Pells who in June 2009 retired from his role as a principal of Pells Sullivan Meynink. He now operates from The Old Post Office at MacMasters Beach, NSW, or from the central New South Wales town of Orange. In addition, in close collaboration with Bill Meynink of PSM Australia Pty Ltd and the UNSW Manly Water Research Laboratory, consulting services are offered in the areas of:

• Tailings storage and management;
• Groundwater inflows into underground works, including block cave mining;
• Surface water management for mine developments, including river diversions.
